Global Warming is becoming a more of a problem, and there are a lot of different opinions about it. Some people don’t care about it, or they just think that it’s not going to happen. Lots of people don’t think it is their problem, so they choose to ignore it. Others think that it is a big problem, and the consequences will be disastrous if we don’t do anything about it. I agree with this also; I think that there is enough proof that global warming will happen, and that we should all be trying to prevent it.

These are some of the effects that global warming will have all over the world if we pay no attention to it:

  • Heat waves
  • Ocean warming and sea level rising
  • Glaciers melting
  • Arctic and Antarctic warming
  • Spreading disease
  • Plant and animal range shifts and changes in the population (of animals)
  • Coral reef bleaching
  • Downpours, heavy snowfalls and floods
  • Droughts and fires

I am sure that if we continue to poison the environment with pollution, then the effects of global warming will probably be a lot worse than this. Everyone uses electricity and fuel every day, and some people don’t realise that there is not an unlimited supply of fossil fuels, and they don’t seem to care that they are destroying the earth.

Everyone should definitely be more conscientious and we all have to contribute and make sacrifices if we want to stop global warming. One person won’t make a difference but if everyone takes part then I’m sure it will make a difference.
