Poem on poverty

On the shoulders of the new generation,
Is the responsibility of poverty eradication?
Truthfully and solemnly we make this promise,
The future of the planet will not be blemished,
Even you make this generous gesture,
Because Education and Donation can save the future.

Poverty is that demon, which gobbles people down,
Irrespective of their color, caste, creed and town.
It plays with people’s lives, as if they were toys,
Its toys are those unlucky, girls and little boys.
It weakens the society from inside,
As wood is, by a termite.

The new generation will fight,
Shall not ignore the plight,
Of the poor and the downtrodden,
Whose lives poverty has rotten?
We are focused like an archer,
Poverty shall stay no longer.

Even you should work for the cause,
Without taking a pause.
Through teaching and donating
, and avoiding hating,
you can also make a change,
and increase prosperity’s range.

For life is also there,
Where destinies are bare
Even they get joy,
On playing with a toy.
Even they need love and care,
A little time please spare.

On the shoulders of the new generation,
Is the responsibility of poverty eradication,
Truthfully and solemnly we make this promise,
The future of the planet will not be blemished
I thank you from the bottom of my heart,
And promise the regime of poverty will fall apart.
