As I walk into the classroom
My eyes drown in sorrow.

For what comes before my eyes
Is far worse than any war or battle.

The students all sit on the floor
Eyes forward towards the teacher,

Except for one little boy,
Sitting by himself, away from the pack.

Looking down sadly at his lap,
Hands clenched into fists,

A tear falls from his eye,
And lands on his chocolate coloured skin.

For he knows he is different
And he will never be the same.

He may never be accepted,
He may never have friends,

All because of something
That is out of his control.

Crying heart-breaking tears
Of pain and anguish,

His classmates don't notice
His tears of pain.

He sits away from the pack
Crying freely into his hands.

No one notices, no one cares,
Because he is different.
