Let us have peace

If God bestows on me a boon
I would ask soon
To make this Earth a heaven.
I would want to make people the asset
Rather than a liability in today's world.
And may one religion, that is humanity, flourish.

Humans have become authoritative
And consider themselves even above God.
They temper with natural growth and seasons
And think of themselves as infallible.
This attitude endangers the survival of Earth.

If God bestows on me a boon
I want to understand why people brawl
For petty land.
For supremacy they trawl.
I wish to discover a friendship band
For binding all the countries at once.

If God bestows on me a boon
I would want everyone to think
What kind of life we are leading,
Betraying ourselves and God.
In the materialistic rat race
We swing between passions and emotions
Creating for all destruction and confusion.

Let us vow to reject all these things.
Instead of hoarding arms
Let us accumulate love and peace.
A single word of 'love' would serve this motive.
We could live peacefully with
No anger, no antagonism and no hatred

What does peace mean to us?
How would we bring peace to this world?
What would a world without war be like?
Have we ever thought of such questions?

Peace is indivisible
And cannot be protected by weapons and missiles.
It cannot be strengthened by pride and might.
Harmony can be achieved through understanding and cooperation.

Let us have peace.
Let the discrimination be stopped.
Let the war be ended.
And let the glory of triumphs be finished.
Only then will peace be indivisible.
