How can we bring peace to our planet?

'There is no way to peace, peace is the way,' said Mahatma Gandhi. To make our planet unite and come together as one, we have to bring peace to the world. Peace is a state of mutual harmony between people and groups and is freedom from civil commotion and violence. A peaceful and harmonious planet will not come easily and will take a lot of determination and cooperation between people of different races, religions, cultures and beliefs.

'Peace is more than simply the absence of war, it is the presence of justice,' is a quote of Martin Luther King. This quote is very powerful and realistic. It outlines the importance of solving problems without violence, and discussing issues instead of fighting, as well as the significance of justice and equal rights in the world. By respecting each other's beliefs and accepting and appreciating the differences and uniqueness of people, peace can be brought to our planet.

Another important issue, which must be solved or dealt with to bring peace to our planet, is the issue of empathy and acceptance. People must learn to respect and love one another and accept people's differences, without any prejudice. People must learn to empathise with others and see things from their point of view. To do this we need to be able to 'put ourselves in their shoes and walk around in them'.

A common reason for violence and conflict is a lack of communication and conflicts of interest. People need to talk with each other, and discuss problems, looking at all sides of the issue. We need to come to an appropriate conclusion, which satisfies all parties. Different races, religions and cultures need to come together and help each other in times of trouble and despair. This could help bring peace to the world.
