How can we be made aware of and informed about local and global ecological issues?

  • By reading and watching the news daily.

How can we alert people when there is something wrong with our surrounding environment?

  • Try to contact our local Member of Parliament and inform them about the environment’s condition, which can be adversely affecting communities.
  • If the local council is the cause of the problem then draft a petition to raise your concern.

How can we support the lesser-privileged people of our world?

  • By regularly supporting people stricken by poverty or illness through local and global charities.
  • By volunteering and contributing to activities such as helping with relief appeals.
  • By educating others on the importance of acting to help the less fortunate.
  • By informing our local electorate on these issues so they can make major changes in our communities.

How can our households address issues like landfill, global warming and water shortages?

  • By obtaining water or energy efficient appliances.
  • By using an electrical source other than coal energy, such as solar panels.
  • By conserving water supplies by buying and installing a water tank.
  • By recycling materials such as paper and glass.
  • By acquiring a fuel-efficient motor vehicle.

How can our community address issues like global warming and water shortages?

  • By encouraging greater use of public transport and encouraging people to walk more.
  • By introducing programs such as water and material recycling in our local schools and workplaces.
