In the morning

Synopsis

Rather than talking in a podcast about the technology in education, the student-volunteers including one from a local high school, presented what is a typical morning activity - giving insights not only into what computers will be like in 2056 but what they will actually do. The scene is in a typical Year 7 student morning wake-up moment. It gives the listener an insight based on current developmental work in technology, so it is not pure fiction.

The objective of this podcast is to allow the listener to build his education goals without being a technology expert. The team spent many hours researching technology directions, goals and educational processes and to present them in a concise short podcast which we hope will be a catalyst and trigger many discussion topics centred around learning and schooling in the conference and beyond.

The podcast covers teaching-learning issues, historical aspects, information dissemination and management, computer mediated communication, security issues, collaborative work, personal organisation, social aspects of learning and future learning possibilities.
